Ganshan National Forest Park

Ganshan National Forest Park covers an area of 4,300 hectares and is located in Xizhangcun township, 28 kilometers from Sanmenxia, Henan province. The park has abundant fauna and flora species, and its natural beauty throughout the year is unique and charming.

The park is divided into several scenic areas, including Butterfly Valley, Red Leaf Viewing Area, Water Amusement Area, Forest Recreation Area, and Ganshan Mountain Culture Area.

The elevation of Ganlu Peak, the highest in the region, is 1,884.64 meters. There are 2,100 kinds of plants and about 110 kinds of animals in the park, according to the Sanmenxia government's website. The park's scenery across the four seasons is unique and represents the different colors of nature.

Each autumn in the Red Leaf Viewing Area, tourists can appreciate red leaves stretching for dozens of square kilometers. The sight is comparable to the red leaves in Beijing's Fragrant Hill.
