Consumers whose legitimate rights and interests are infringed upon during their purchase of commodities or receipt of services on online trading platforms may demand compensations from the sellers of the commodities or the providers of the services. In case providers of online trading platforms who cannot provide the real names, addresses and contact information of the sellers of the commodities or the providers of the services, consumers may demand compensations from the providers of the online trading platforms. Providers of online trading platforms who have make commitments more favorable to consumers shall fulfill their commitments.
In case providers of online trading platforms are fully aware of or are supposed to be aware of the fact that sellers of the commodities or providers of the services infringe upon consumers’ legitimate rights and interests by means of the online trading platforms, but do not adopt necessary measures, shall bear joint liability with the sellers of the commodities or the providers of the services.
