Dalian Urban Planning Exhibition Center opened to the public and offered free admission on March 27, displaying the progress and development achieved in urban planning, according to Dalian Daily.
The exhibition center, covering an area of 6,800 square meters, boasts 15 exhibition halls spread over three floors, and is aimed at introducing the history of Dalian city’s urban planning history, the latest achievements and future blueprint.
Video halls, LED displays, intelligent systems, and miniature models are situated in the exhibition center.
The hall also highlights a sand table model measuring 1,080 square meters, displaying the latest comprehensive planning for Dalian city which is to be completed by 2020. It is one of the largest sand table models targeting urban planning in China.
The exhibition is scheduled to receive no more than 3,000 tourists on a daily basis in its first three months of operation. It will eventually be able to accommodate 5,000 visitors per day.
