Preparation under way for 2018 CIFIT

The first preparatory meeting for the 2018 China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) was organized in Beijing on March 30.

The 2018 CIFIT was set to be held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 8 to 11.

Wang Shouwen, deputy director of China's top commerce department, introduced the new situations and changes the CIFIT would face this year at the meeting.

He said that this year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up.

The fair's organizing committee needs to accurately master the changes in foreign and domestic investment by conforming to the overall situations of China's reform and opening-up to turn the fair into an indicator of international investment in this new era.

Sui Jun, deputy governor of Fujian province, pointed out that the new development concept featuring innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared should be embodied in all the works of the fair's organizing committee.

She confirmed that Fujian province and Xiamen will offer efficient, convenient and qualified service as they usually do to all the fair's participants.

Zhuang Jiahan, mayor of the host city Xiamen, introduced the city's industrial development, optimized business environment and complete supporting facilities.

Zhuang said that the coastal city has accumulated useful experience from the successful hosting of the BRICS Summit last year and Xiamen will fully prepare for the 2018 CIFIT to strive for more achievements this year.
