International guests comment on Guangzhou

Max Raven acknowledged at the conference that during his regular trips to Guangzhou over the past three years, he has always been impressed by the ubiquitous beauty of the city. He added that he has also been attentive to the opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative.

Raven said that, as a top global business media platform, CNBC has plentiful resources and hopes to tell good stories about Guangzhou from the perspective of foreigners. Many professional businesses make investment choices after watching programs hosted by the media agency. Therefore, the cooperation agreement CNBC just signed today with Guangzhou's Nansha district on building an innovation exchange platform will likely attract many heavyweight investors to the city.

Clay Chandler said that Fortune magazine has always been concerned about China's economic development, was honored to have brought the Fortune Global Forum to Guangzhou, and has formed long-term cooperation mechanisms with Guangzhou by designating it as the permanent host site of Fortune Brainstorm Tech International.

He commented that, the 2017 Fortune Global Forum held in Guangzhou was most successful and truly impressed all the guests; Guangzhou's leaders have ambitious goals, are highly capable of telling stories about the city, and show great confidence in presenting Guangzhou's strengths through global roadshows.

Chandler also revealed that the 2018 Fortune Brainstorm Tech International will be held in November.

Guangzhou has been presenting itself to the world in creative ways, and it is a very impressive host for the activities held in the urban planning exhibition hall that combines modernity and tradition, Harvey Dzodin said at his themed speech at the conference.

Harvey suggested for Guangzhou to host various conferences and exhibitions every year, however due to how attendees have very tight schedules, they should also be granted more time to travel around the city themselves to understand the city on a deeper level. He believed that, the best marketing strategy is word of mouth, and thus Guangzhou could invite opinion leaders to experience its vibrancy, business climate, and its pursuit of mutual benefit in expanded cooperation.
