The Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, founded in 1958, is one of the oldest Chinese medicine hospitals in Shandong province integrating medical treatment, education and research.

The gross floor space of the hospital is 100,000 square meters. There are 17 administrative departments, 37 clinical departments and laboratories and three outpatient clinics. In addition, the hospital has over 20 national, provincial and municipal key specialty departments. There are 19 national guidance professors, six provincial Chinese medicine doctors and 12 municipal Chinese medicine doctors.The hospital is equipped with a series of high-end diagnostic devices like CT, MRI, color ultrasound, high definition electronic gastroscopy, electron microscopy and arthroscopy.
