High quality glutinous rice is grounded into flour and molded into balls with either meat, mushroom, gourmet powder and sesame oil type fillings.

These round treats have an outer layer of smooth rice that is stuffed with either meat, vegetable, or sweet fillings. The type of filling — salty or sweet — determines whether this is a staple food or a dessert. On happy occasions, one sweet ball and one salty one is presented side by side to symbolize harmony.
