China Life Insurance (Group) Company (Nanyang branch)

China Life Insurance (Group) Company is a large state-owned financial insurance enterprise which engages in a wide range of businesses, including life, property and endowment insurances. It also has operations in assets management, alternative investment and e-commerce.

Its predecessor is the People's Insurance Company of China (PICC) that was established on October 20, 1949. Part of the PICC was restructured as China Life Insurance (Group) Company in 2003 upon the approval of the State Council and China Insurance Regulatory Commission.

In 2016, China Life Insurance's consolidated operating income reached 696.3 billion yuan ($110.3 billion), and its total consolidated assets reached 3.35 trillion yuan. The insurance company has been listed among the Fortune Global 500 for 15 consecutive years and included on the World's 500 Most Influential Brands list for 10 consecutive years.
