Starting from April 1, Wuxi's CCTV Wuxi Movie/TV Base will be holding a month-long cultural festival based on Chinese traditional royal wedding ceremony and etiquette system in the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220).
The main event of the festival is the performance of a giant wedding ceremony of Liu Bei, the king of Wu kingdom during the period of the Three Kingdoms.
The festival will feature six cultural activities based on this dramatic period of Chinese history, including stage shows, performances of ancient dances and a poetry contest.
Visitors who wear apparels featuring Han Dynasty designs will be rewarded with free tours in the Three Kingdoms city provided they make an appointment a day ahead through the official WeChat account of Wuxi's CCTV Wuxi Movie/TV Base.
