A matchmaking symposium between projects from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries and enterprises in Cixi, a county-level city of Ningbo, Zhejiang province took place on March 21.
The event, seen as a platform for the bilateral exchanges on talent, technologies, projects and market, aimed to attract high-level overseas professionals and projects to settle in Cixi.
More than 40 CEE experts specializing in advanced sectors such as intelligent manufacturing, new materials and biomedical science introduced their projects to local companies in Cixi Binhai Economic Development Zone. Cooperation intentions were reached on seven projects.
"If the technology could be applied in the upgrading of automated machines, our production efficiency would be highly improved," a staff member from the Bull International Electric Group extended his strong interest in the new technology developed by a team from Russia's ITMO University.
A person from the organizing team said Cixi is in great need of advanced technologies in the process of seeking industrial transformation and upgrading while CEE countries are at the forefront of the research and development in the manufacturing sector.
Therefore, conducting comprehensive cooperation with CEE countries will give new energy and vitality to local industries, he added.
