The Shenyang section of the China (Liaoning) Free Trade Zone established an international chamber of commerce in Shenyang on March 20. This is an effort Shenyang is putting ahead to attract transnational corporation, international institutes and exhibitions.
Around 350 business people were invited to attend the opening ceremony of the commerce of chamber, including 50 representatives from the United States, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and South Korea.
The chamber is an important measure for Shenyang to create an international business environment, said the head of the Shenyang section of the China (Liaoning) Free Trade Zone.
It will serve as a platform for domestic and overseas businesses to exchange business information, seek cooperation opportunities and expand marketing channels.
Meanwhile, it is expected to help Shenyang attract more skilled workers to serve local businesses.
Currently, the Shenyang free trade zone has over 15,000 registered businesses since it started operations in April, 2017, with a total registered capital of 150 billion yuan ($23.54 billion). Among which the amount of businesses conducting international trade account for nearly a half, generating annual import and export volume of 1.71 billion yuan.
