Peter Steidle, a famous French horn player and chamber music teacher from Germany, gave a class to members of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Shenyang Daily on March 24.
In the rehearsal room of Northeastern University, the 79-year-old musician listened to performances by more than 50 children, and gave them advice on how to improve.
After listening to the children play, Steidle pointed out that coordination is of great importance when performing.
“Remember that you are a whole,” he said.
“The musical education children receive is even more important than any other kind of education they get,” added Peter.
