Baicheng Normal University

Located in Baicheng city, Jilin province, Baicheng Normal University is the only undergraduate college in the western part of Jilin province. Its predecessor, founded in1958, was Baicheng Junior Teacher's College. In August 2000, Baicheng Forestry School merged with Baicheng Junior Teacher's College. In March 2002, it became an undergraduate college upon the approval of the Ministry of Education. In 2007, it began to offer master's programs together with Northeast Normal University. In 2008, it was awarded as a "good university" by the Ministry of Education in the National Evaluation of Undergraduate Teaching Quality.
