The sixth Guizhou Professionals Convention was held in Guiyang from March 24 to 25, and led to more than 21,000 agreements between employers and talents.
Statistics show that 2,238 employers including public institutions, organizations and enterprises provided a total of 16,000 jobs for talents during the convention. The number of offline attendees in two days reached 67,400, and in the same period 352,000 people visited the official website and account.
It is reported that 9,968 talents signed contracts during the event, including 678 with a doctor's degree and 7,194 with a master's degree.
It is worth mentioning that this year's event for the first time included an exhibition area for talents wishing to target poverty alleviation. More than 410 experts visited that area and 134 of them reached a cooperative intention with 63 projects in rural planning, rural e-commerce and characteristic plantations.
In addition, the number of projects involving overseas talents was at a new high. Of the 733 talent projects brought forward at the event, 209 were advanced by overseas talents at the invitation of the expo and 191 of them will settle in Guizhou.
During the event, 47 projects participated in the roadshow and 29 funding companies attended discussions. Nine investment agreements were signed with a total value of nearly 100 million yuan ($15.92 million).
