Girls' Football Festival opens in Hohhot

A Girls' Football Festival organized by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) commenced at Tognshunjie Primary School in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on March 20.

The festival is being held as a part of 2018 Women's Football Day, an annual event initiated by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to further popularize football among girls.

“We hope the girls can learn more about football from the activities and continue playing in the future,”said Wu Guoqing, head of the Inner Mongolia Football Association (IMFA).
