Located in the southeast coast of Jimei Cultural Complex, the Kah Kee Park was built in memory of Mr. Tan Kah Kee, the patriotic overseas Chinese. With an investment of 10 million yuan ($1.6 million), Kah Kee Park covers an area of more than 30,000 square meters with a construction area of 5,500 square meters.
With Chinese courtyard as the main style, Kah Kee Park is filled with pavilions, terraces and towers featured by red columns, flying eaves and glazed tiles, and they connect with one another along the meandering corridors. There are also pools, bridges, stone railings and lawns properly arranged across the park, creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment.
The two large stone sculptures in the park pay high tribute to the eternal theme of "education is fundamental; rejuvenate country by science and education". The main part of the sculpture titled "Monument to Teachers and Education" is a 9.9-meter-tall burning candle, which symbolizes eternal auspice and an undying torch.
