Turtle Garden is located in the southeast of Jimei district, covering an area of nearly 9000 square meters. It is composed of a porch, Jimei Liberation monument and the tomb of Tan Kah Kee, the patriotic overseas Chinese.
Inside the gate of the Turtle Garden, there is a 50 meter long porch engraved with historical and modern figures.
The 28.6 meter high Jimei Liberation Monument in the center of the Turtle garden is engraved with Chairman Mao Zedong's inscription on the front side and Tan Kah Kee's inscription on the back side.
The south side of the monument is the tomb of Tan Kah Kee, which is a national key cultural relic protection place. The tomb is walled by three green stones from its left, right and back sides. The stones are carved with 15 different portraits of Tan Kah Kee to display the important experience the first half of Tan's life.
