About 30,000 orchids of over 600 varieties from across the world will be displayed at the fourth Shanghai International Orchid Exhibition in the city's Chenshan Botanical Garden from March 23 to April 8.
Six exhibition areas are set up where gardeners from Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, and other major orchid production countries and regions will show their precious varieties.
The highlights include Angraecum White Beauty, a new type cultivated by Chenshan Botanical Garden, a tulip-like orchid from Ecuador, a monkey-faced orchid, and many others.
According to the organizers, a series of activities including forums, an orchid selection campaign, and tours accompanied by botanists will be launched.
