A team from the High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University won its ticket to the global final of the 2018 FIRST Robotics Competition set for Huston in the United States from April 18 to 21.
The ticket refers to the Chairman's Award the team won at the FIRST Robotics Competition Shanghai Regional held from March 16 to 18.
The Shanghai Regional witnessed the participation of 46 teams from China, Hungary, Poland and other countries, who competed with each other's robots in three rounds of contests.
The FIRST Robotics Competition is an international high school robotics competition. It was launched by FIRST, a not-for-profit public charity designed to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology, and is expected to give students real-world engineering experience.
