When autumn comes, Hongshi National Forest Park becomes an ocean of red maple leaves.

Hongshi National Park is located at Huadian, Jilin province. It covers an area of 28,574.6 hectares, with a water area of 2,269 hectares. The park's forest coverage rate is 84.6 percent, the highest in Jilin province.

In addition, the park also has the highest number of species of wild animals and the most resourceful land and water compared to other areas in the province.

Besides the red maples, yellow chrysanthemums and white birch also decorate the mountain. Clouds reflect the red of the land below and the setting sun. Flowers, autumn grass, and fruits fill the generous earth with life.

The typical tourist route passing through the forest stretches 50 kilometers. Continuous overlapping mountains come to visitors' eyes even from a distance. Streams wander through the vast forest and tall and straight red-leafed trees stretch for hundreds of miles.

As the place is full of red, burning like fire, it is known as "Red Leaf City" and "The Red Sea on the Land".
