Baotou vocational college promotes agreement with hotel

Baotou Iron and Steel Vocational Technical College is to partner with Baotou Header Hotel to boost the employment rate of graduates, with an agreement signed between the two parties on March 16, reports Baotou Daily.

Attendees included Zhang Wei, dean of Baotou Iron and Steel Vocational Technical College, Li Jianhua, deputy director of the education bureau of Baotou, and Wang Kun, president of Baotou Header Hotel.

The college is to cooperate with the hotel on a nutrition and detection project. Students who choose the major can find employment at the hotel after graduation.

Also, the agreement is seen as a move to enhance students’ professional skills and attract skilled workers to the hotel.

Located in Baotou of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the renowned City of Steel on Grassland, Baotou Iron and Steel Vocational Technical College was established in 1956, and is owned by Baogang Group (also known as Baotou Iron and Steel Group).

The college boasts a high employment rate, with 97.29 percent of graduates finding employment in 2017.

Baotou Header Hotel is a five-star hotel, owned by Header Investment and Joint-stock Group. Header Group has opened new hotels in cities including Beijing, and Hohhot in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
