QINGDAO -- Five more yachts arrived in Qingdao on Friday, thus all 11 yachts finished Race 8 of 2017-18 the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
"When we started Race 8, it was really warm. Then, it became colder and colder. There was a real mix of weather conditions in this race," said Abby Johnston, a member of Nasdaq team.
"The race was really hard work, but the team worked well together to get a good result," Johnston added.
Britain, Dare To Lead, Unicef and HotelPlanner.com arrived in Qingdao one by one after Nasdaq on Friday.
The other six yachts reached Qingdao on Thursday. Visit Seattle, Sanya Serenity Coast and Liverpool 2018 took podium positions.
The Clipper Round the World yacht Race, held every two years, is the largest amateur yacht race in the world and has visited Qingdao for the seventh straight time. A total of 712 crew members from 41 countries and regions participated in the 2017-18 events.
