A second-class hospital will be built at the west corner of Yangzhou, as the region builds momentum towards becoming the city's new residential hub.

Named Hanjiang Public Health Center, the hospital will cover an area of 16,567 square meters with a floor space of 34,018 sq m. There will be a 10-storied health center and an 8-storied disease control and prevention center, as well as several underground parking lots.

There will be 120 beds at the hospital. Once put into service, which insiders say will be next year, the hospital will treat an estimated 200 patients every day and an average of 100,000 every year.

Thanks to the Yangzhou government's growing attention to the west corner, the new hospital will be sure to bring real convenience to local residents.
