Baotou city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region is to have an innovation demonstration park funded by JD.com, one of the leading domestic e-commerce operators, with an agreement signed between the two parties on March 14, reports Baotou Daily.
Wu Erbin, deputy mayor of Baotou, attended the signing ceremony.
The demonstration park will be established in Donghe district of the city, and is expected to attract 500 companies to the park. Total revenues are expected to reach10 million yuan ($1.58 billion) annually.
JD has planned a total of 50 innovation demonstration parks nationwide. Two of them are to be built in Inner Mongolia.
