Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, confirmed 113 key projects worth 76.7 billion yuan ($12.14 billion) for 2018, at a work conference held on March 9, according to local media.
The 113 projects, covering areas like big data, equipment manufacturing, new materials and agriculture, include 79 industrial projects worth 41.78 billion yuan.
Approved by the State Council in 1992, the district is the only high-tech district dedicated to the rare earth industry among China’s 53 national high-tech zones, and is the only national-level high-tech zone in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
