The Xintiandi Design Festival opened in Shanghai on March 6, displaying 18 artistic installations created by renowned designers and artists from home and abroad.
The works, themed "in Future", shows a combination of modern technology and art.
The event, running until March 19 this year, is a joint effort of Design Shanghai, Asia's leading design event, and Xintiandi, one of the most fashionable and renowned tourist attractions in Shanghai.
The cooperation is expected to promote the development of China's original design, and also enable local citizens and design enthusiasts to experience the joy of design.
