Yangzhou to freshen up Maternal and Childcare Service Center

The Yangzhou Urban Planning Bureau said on March 11 that the city's Maternal and Childcare Service Center will start constructing a new branch hospital later this year. 

The new establishment, with a gross investment of about 1.5 billion yuan, will cover about 158 mu (10.5 hectares) and has a total floor area of 180,000 square meters. 

The hospital will be equipped with 1,000 beds and has seven major kinds of rooms for various maternal and childcare services, such as emergency department, outpatient department, medical technology department, inpatient department, security system room, and administrative management room. 

The new branch will be set on the southeast corner of Jiangyang Bridge and will adhere to an architectural style that harmonizes with the surrounding environment and integrates with the city's image. 

The construction is expected to complete in October 2020.
