Yangzhou adds urban greenery

Officials, soldiers and residents from Yangzhou, Jiangsu province gathered at the Zaolinwan Tourist Villa on March 12 to celebrate the annual Tree Planting Day and the upcoming 2018 Jiangsu Horticulture Expo. 

With the aim of adding greenery to Yangzhou, the participants planted some 20 varieties of 7,500 cherry blossom, crape myrtle, red maple, magnolia liliiflora and sweet-scented osmanthuses, covering a total area of over 200 mu (13.3 hectares).
