Baotou in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region now boasts a total of 40 academician and expert workstations, covering areas including iron and steel, rare earths, and the mining and equipment manufacturing industries, according to a March 9 Baotou Daily report.
The city has recruited some 40 academicians at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, some 30 research teams, and 300 experts from leading domestic universities and research institutes including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Northeastern University and Beijing Jiaotong University.
