On March 2, the Tianjin delegation to the National People's Congress arrived in Beijing to attend the 13th National People's Congress.
Zhang Boli, the president of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, has been chosen to be a CPPCC deputy for three consecutive years. In the last ten years, Zhang has focused on public health, environmental protection, and construction of spiritual civilization. He is also interested in the reform of the medical and health system and the development of Chinese traditional medicine, and has submitted motions about legislation affecting it.
Zhang Zhilong, the vice-president of Tianjin's Chinese Medicine Hospital, is a new CPPCC deputy this year. Zhang said that he will submit a motion about the construction of a Chinese traditional medicine platform and promote Chinese traditional medicine on an international level.
Zhou Chaohong, the vice chief engineer of the Tianjin Water Affairs Bureau and the director of the administrative committee of Beidagang Reservoir, said "Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei made achievements in air pollution control in recent years; now the water field should receive more attention too. I will submit motions about water pollution control in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and draw more people's attention to the environment."
Guan Mucun is the vice president of the Chinese Musicians' Association. Guan is concerned with strengthening traditional culture among young students and introducing overseas talents this year. She will try her best to bring people's voices to the congress.
Wang Yan is a bus driver inTianjin No. 5 Bus Company. This is her first time to be a CPPCC deputy. Wang said that she will focus on livelihood issues, bring people's voices to the congress and spread its spirit to her colleagues.
