Statistics from Hunan Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (HEIQB) showed Changsha Huanghua International Airport imported a total of 5166.7 kg of pasteurized milk in the first two months of 2018, a year-on-year increase of 286 percent.
The pasteurized milk is made from fresh milk via low-temperature pasteurization, which can maximally reserve the nutrition and flavor of milk. Stricter requirements are also needed for the milk's preservation time and temperature during its transportation, processing, delivery and selling.

Changsha Huanghua International Airport has been importing fresh milk ever since its first import of the product in December 2015. In 2017, the airport imported a total of 16,840 kg of pasteurized milk. On Feb 27, it imported for the first time 492 kg of fresh milk from Sydney, Australia.

Now the airport mainly imports fresh milk from Netherlands, New Zealand and Australia.

To ensure the safe and quick import of pasteurized milk, HEIQB makes full use of informationized means to control the quality of milk. A data recording and tracing system is established to monitor the whole importing process, from the milk leaving the factory to arriving at Changsha's airport.
