Heavy snow causes flight delays in Harbin

Heavy snow hit Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province again on March 3, resulting in delays for 73 flights and the cancellation of 10 flights in China’s most northern international airport –– Harbin Taiping International Airport in Heilongjiang’s capital city.

The delayed flights were mainly those heading to Guangzhou in South China’s Guangdong province, Nanjing in East China’s Jiangsu province and Hangzhou in East China’s Zhejiang province.

The Harbin airport had organized operating personnel to clear snow and ice on runways, reducing flight delays as quickly as possible. 

Meanwhile, passengers were able to find flight information from electronic screens, customer announcements, and Weibo (a social media platform similar to Twitter).
