Hunan's Top 10 leading enterprises in IP released

The list of Hunan's Top Ten Leading Enterprises in Intellectual Property was released.

Among the 10 enterprises, six were Hunan-based. They were Sunward, Sanyauto, Zoomlion Environmental Protection, Lens Technology, Soarstar Aviation Technology, and Liuyang Lotus Fine Machinery.

All the 10 enterprises boasted over 100 patents and garnered over 100 million yuan ($15.81 million) in annual sales revenue.

According to statistics, the 10 enterprises made over 6,600 patent applications as of October 2017, among which nearly 2,500 were patents for invention and over 1,300 were effective patents for invention in intelligent manufacturing, new materials, automobile and aviation.

Spokesmen of these enterprises said it was long-sighted to make patent application before a product was launched into the market, which ensured the product was under legal protection after its entry into the market.

Along the announcement of the 10 enterprise leaders in intellectual property, the list of Hunan's Top Ten Outstanding Inventors of Intellectual Property was also released. Liu Aiping, chief expert in new medicine development of Hunan Chemical Research Institute, was on the list.
