Shenyang wins 91 provincial-level science awards

A total of 91 projects submitted by Shenyang’s science and technology bureau were honored at the 2017 Liaoning Provincial Science Awards, accounting for 46 percent of the total number of awards recently released by the province’s top authority.

Shenyang won 14 first prizes, 39 second prizes and 37 third prizes, hitting a new record for the number of awards in its history. Moreover, its first prizes accounted for 70 percent of the total, and its second prizes accounted for 50 percent.

The highlight is a solar energy conversion material project, which won first prize in Liaoning’s Natural Science Award. It is the only award of its kind.
