A total of 29 motions drafted by 19 members of the National Committee of CPPCC from Hainan will be submitted to the two sessions, which opened on March 2 and will be closed on March 20, Hainan Daily reported.
Hainan is seeking new development-driven power as this year marks the 30th anniversary of its establishment. Figuring out how the province can seize the opportunities to promote its industry development is a common concern not only for the provincial government but also for the members.
The motions cover areas such as building of a national lab for southern breeding and an international shopping center in Hainan, and support for the development of a Hainan natural rubber base.
The members will also raise motions related to the Hainan tropical rainforest national park, the Hainan demonstration zone of national rural revitalization strategy and the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone.
In order to raise suggestions in line with the wishes and aspirations of the people of Hainan, the members were fully prepared before they left for Beijing to attend the first session of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC.
They had carried out massive research and listened to opinions from grassroots communities pertaining to economic development and social difficulties.
