The city of Baotou in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region held a series of activities to mark the upcoming Lantern Festival which will fall on March 2 this year, reports Baotou Daily.
Lantern Festival, also known as Yuanxiao Festival, is one of the traditional festivals in China, falling on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month. Celebrations of the festival include admiring the full moon, setting off fireworks and solving riddles written on lanterns.
