The Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) signed 393 Beijing-related projects in 2017, attracting investment of 66.4 billion yuan ($10.5 billion) from the capital city.
CENN, China Sinogy Electric Group, and the China National Nuclear Corporation were all chosen to settle in TEDA, as were Lianjia, Mobike, JD, and Guazi.
As of the end of 2017, there were over 1,400 Beijing projects settled in TEDA.
With the gradually maturation of TEDA, the Dagang district, part of TEDA, has promoted the 100,000 deadweight ton channel project and the SINOPEC SABIC New Material Industrial Park project. At the same time, the MSD Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Industrial Connecting Area and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Big Data Processing Center have been launched.
TEDA was established in 1984 as the first national level economic-technological development area. It is now part of the Tianjin Binhai New Area.
