SHANGHAI — More than 1,000 companies from over 120 countries and regions have signed up to attend the China International Import Expo to be held in Shanghai in November.
Nearly 100 of the applicants are among the Global 500, heavyweights in their respective industries, the expo’s organizer said on Feb 28.
In addition, 165 countries and regions have designated organizations to help with their exhibitors’ work at the expo.
Egypt will bring its competitive products to the expo, such as construction materials, chemical products and textile materials. Armenia will take its food, wine, textiles and medical products.
The expo’s organizer has held marketing events in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Switzerland over the past three months.
China has promised to boost imports, announcing plans to purchase more than $10 trillion of goods and services in the next five years.
