Jilin province, an old industrial base, is seeking new development by encouraging talented Jilin natives to return home.
On Feb 20, 13 representatives of talented Jilin natives were invited to attend a symposium in their hometown, Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province.
The symposium was hosted by the Jilin provincial government, and was aimed at encouraging more talented Jilin natives to get jobs or start up their own businesses in their hometowns.
Jing Junhai, governor of Jilin province, attended the symposium.
He said that being an old industrial base, Jilin province had its own advantages and opportunities in the new era.
He also encouraged Jilin natives to return to work and to start businesses.
Their return would bring new ideas, technologies and development models to the province, and help improve its influence.
At the same time, the government is committed to providing quality services and development platform for the returnees.
About 300 local government officials and Jilin natives from all walks of life also attended the meeting.
