A total of 118 embroidery works from Dalian Modern Museum were exhibited at the Art and History Museum of Le Havre in France during the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The works represent the embroidery development in southern Liaoning province during the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the early Republic of China.
They were selected from thousands of collections in Dalian Modern Museum and were divided into four categories, reflecting women’s life in girlhood, early marriage, middle age and old age.
