Xiamen pilot free trade zone has launched 78 measures to boost its reform and opening up to the outside world this year, according to a recent announcement by the pilot zone's management committee.
Financial innovation, trade, investment, exchanges and cooperation with Taiwan island and countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road, government management and construction of a promotional system are the focus of these measures.
As for financial innovation, the pilot zone will accelerate the construction of a financial leasing base and establish an effective prevention and control system for financial risks.
Enterprises and people of Taiwan will enjoy the same treatment with their Chinese mainland's counterparts in the pilot zone and policies related to Taiwan people's study, work, and medical and social insurances are expected to be improved.
Trade, financial and people-to-people exchanges with countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road will also be further strengthened.
The replication and promotion of pilot zone's innovative achievements will be enhanced so as to promote these effective measures to the whole city.
As for the aviation maintenance industry, a regulatory and tax system will be established based on the features and development trend of international aviation maintenance industry to lower the import tariff of aviation materials and help construct a one-stop aviation maintenance base.
The Xiamen pilot free trade zone has issued 298 innovative measures since it was opened in 2015, 222 of which has been replicated to the whole city, serving as a new driver for the city's economic transformation.
