Jilin government leaders met with entrepreneurs from Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangdong province on Feb 22, seeking cooperation.
Bayin Chaolu, Party Secretary of Jilin Province, said the local government pays a great deal of attention to trade relationships between Jilin and enterprises in these places and expressed his willingness for greater business ties.
The province is now in its key period of industrial upgrading and transformation and is working on creating an environment beneficial to commercial activity.
He said the local government looks forward to more cooperation in modern agriculture, auto manufacturing, the petrochemical industry and e-commerce, and invited entrepreneurs to visit the old industrial base and see its changes.
At the conference, Governor Jing Junhai highlighted Jilin province's advantages such as rich natural resources, solid industrial bases and a deep innovative and entrepreneurial atmosphere and said that entrepreneurs are welcome to settle and invest in the province.
He stressed the promising investment environment of the province and said platforms have been constructed to support entrepreneurship and innovation and to achieve comprehensive revitalization.
More than 100 entrepreneurs and managers from over 50 listed companies attended the conference.
