The plum blossom is not only the last remaining winter flower in Wuxi, but also the first flower to bloom in spring. As Wuxi's city flower, it is in full bloom on every corner of the beautiful city in East China's Jiangsu province.
Moreover, the annual Plum Festival is running from Feb 10 to March 25 in the Wuxi Plum Garden, and features a series of plum-themed exhibitions and cultural exchange activities.
Five kilometers from downtown Wuxi, the Plum Garden has been renowned since it opened in 1912 as one of the best places south of the Yangtze River to admire plum blossoms. It is home to nearly 10,000 plum trees of around 400 varieties, and covers an area of eight hectares.
Now is a great time to admire plum blossoms in Wuxi. Below are some photos recently taken in the city.
