Hohhot will build nine spots for leisure agriculture to promote rural tourism in 2018, announced the Hohhot Agriculture and Husbandry Bureau on Feb 23.
The city will prioritize the development of intelligent agriculture and rural areas.
According to the plan, it will establish a big data platform to push forward the electronic management of cow breeding, vegetable planting and disease control.
The local government also plans to develop rural e-commerce to increase direct online sales of agricultural products.
In addition, 20 modern agriculture demonstration bases will be established to bolster revenue in the industry.
