A total of 290 live corals imported from Indonesia arrived in Shenzhen's Longhua district on Feb 24.
The shipment includes six different types of corals which will be kept in quarantine for two weeks before being officially released onto the market in Shenzhen. This is the first batch of imported live aquatic animals since the Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau Longhua Agency were opened in June last year.
As of now, the quarantine and inspection of imported plants and animals in the agency has covered a total of nine main categories.
