Dalian of Northeast China’s Liaoning province received a total of 1.84 million tourists during the Spring Festival holiday, a year-on-year growth of 10.76 percent, according to a press conference co-hosted by the statistics bureau of Dalian and the Dalian Tourism Development Committee on Feb 22.
Tourism revenue hit 2.47 billion yuan ($389 million) during the holiday period, 12.85 percent more than last year.
Main tourist attractions in the city received 1.44 million tourists during the holiday period, a year-on-year growth of 8.55 percent.
Hot spring tours and ice and snow tourism products have been gaining popularity during the winter season.
According to the data released at the press conference, self-driving trips have become a new trend in the city.
