Various tourist activities held to celebrate the Spring Festival came to an end at Wangcheng district, Changsha city, on Feb 22. The exciting event set off the district with great promise in terms of tourism prospects.

The "Chinese New Year, Wangcheng Flavor" had already been held for three years in the past. In the small amount of time, it has become a brand name for the city, attracting visitors from all over the country.

This year's theme was courtesy and corresponding events were held to uphold the theme. The theme's rites were applied to the seven occasions of traditional new year's customs such as family reunions, meeting the in-laws, greeting neighbors, cultural learning, good wishes and maintenance of health.

The Guangming Grand View Garden also organized a "folk culture experience day" activity, which allowed visitors and residents to spin cloth and then color them with organic plant dye. Other festival activities, including decorative paper-cutting, sugar figurine molding and composing Spring Festival couplets, were also arranged.
