Local residents in Mexico were treated to five distinctive Lingnan performances by Guangzhou art troupes from Feb 7 to 11.
The Embassy of China in Mexico and Reforma Avenue were among the five venues to host the performances, which were part of the 2018 Guangzhou Culture Week, an event designed to increase global exposure to Guangzhou culture.
Tens of thousands of Mexicans attended the shows, which included traditional singing, special Lingnan dances, and puppet shows in which figurines were manipulated by wooden rods.
