The performances given by an art troupe from Ningbo, Zhejiang province delighted British audiences at the Spring Festival Temple Fair in Nottingham, UK on Feb 10.
Seven artists gave the most traditional Chinese performances at the fair, including Yueju Opera and renditions of folk songs and dances. China's distinctive culture impressed visitors, filling the city hall square with a jolly and festive atmosphere.
Nottingham and Ningbo established official sister-city relations in September 2005. Since then, the two cities have made great progress in economy, science and technology, education, and culture through cooperation and exchanges.
The Spring Festival Temple Fair in Nottingham has been held for three consecutive years and provides a great platform for cultural exchanges between China and the UK.
