Ordos Aquarium welcomed four new arrivals with an official penguin-visitor meet on Feb 7, according to a local news release.
The meet came later than was originally planned due to unexpected complications with transportation and weather.
The four penguins, belonging to the Gentoo species, were born in Dalian rather than the South Pole. They do however, still need to live in a sub-zero environment.
To certify a secure and comfortable enclosure for the four creatures, staff members at the aquarium have thoroughly checked their tank to ensure that there is sufficient space, as well as installed a sterilization and circulative water system.
Currently, the penguins that are on loan to Ordos Aquarium are in good shape and seem to have already adapted to their new environment.
